Greetings from Kansas City, MO:
I am writing to invite Native American artists to participate in
the 4th Annual Kansas City Indian Art Market & Cultural Festival
October 3 & 4, 2009. We are making plans for it to be even
bigger and better than last year. Artists who participated last
fall told us they were very happy with their sales and the
hospitality shown them and they plan to return.
Ours is a small festival…we had fewer than thirty vendors last
year but they ranged from inexpensive to high end and all seemed
to do well as we had several thousand people attend.
Our not-for-profit organization NCIAC has as its mission to
educate the public about Native American heritage so in addition
to the artists which are the main attraction, we offer cultural
classes, displays, entertainment and children’s activities.
We hold our festival (dubbed KC Indian Fest) outdoors so you are
welcome to bring your own tent or set up inside our 100’ tent.
The details are on the application form which I would be happy
to email to you. Please let me know if you would prefer that I
mail you the application in an envelope.
Please email me if you have any questions. I was able to
arrange with two nearby hotels for rooms under $60 last year and
I hope to be able to do that again this year.
Please check out our web site www.kcindianfest.com
I hope to hear from you soon.
